Western Canadian Environment Industry Report

The GLOBE Foundation, with assistance from Western
Economic Diversification Canada, prepared a report
that consolidated the findings of environmental sector reviews
conducted in each of the four Western Provinces. The GLOBE
Foundation also undertook a comprehensive review of the environment
sector in British Columbia.
Dr. John Wiebe, President and CEO of the GLOBE Foundation,
presented a summary assessment of the Western Canadian Environment Industry
Report at the Western Canadian Environmental Technology
Forum. This forum, sponsored by Western Economic
Diversification Canada, brought industry leaders and government
from across Western Canada to Vancouver, to discuss strategies to
stimulate technology development and commercialization in the
environment sector.
